first Wedding invite order!

These are the wedding invites I made 115 of for a couple that I work with that are to wed April 23,2011. The inside of the invite was printed on the bottom half of the card and centered using Microsoft word. The total card size (the paper itself) is 6.5x10. I had to do a lot of tweaking to get the words inside to be centered, but it turned out well! Congrats and best wishes Katie and Nick!

This is a card invite I just did for a coworker. My cousin Mo Manning drew this little girl image. See her beautiful digi stamps Here! The number 1 was cut out using my Cricut Machine, and embossed using a quickutz embossing folder. The dot strip is a piece of sheer ribbon from Michaels. This is the card I made this past june for my dad. He (along with me) loves the ocean, and so most of my cards for him always have a nautical theme. So I used my new Our Daily Bread lighthouse stamp and stamped in brown and smeared ink in a few places to give it a little color. It is stamped on kraft cardstock. The sentiment is from a studio G $1 stamp set.

I'm working on coming up with an invite for a co-workers wedding, this was one of them. The bride and I love it, but I think it would be too time consuming to make, she wants like 150 of them! But after going to CHA and seeing a sneak peek of the new spellbinders grand dies, I have the idea to use one of those as the shape of the invite, and then embellish with stamps and rhinestones... so we'll see!!
The rose shape was cut using a spellbinders die, and I sponged ink in it when using it like a stencil. whatcha all think?

SU/Sizzix embossed roses

I finally got the embossing folder "Manhattan Rose" by Sizzix, for Stampin Up! I embossed glossy white paper with this embossing folder, and then smeared versamark ink over the embossed part using a brayer. Then I heat embossed with a white pearl embossing powder. Then i used various inks to fill in the roses. I applied glitter in various places to give it sparkle, you can see that in the second close up picture. The sentiment was stamped in aqua colored ink, and then I took my quickie glue pen and went over the word FABULOUS, and applied aqua colored glitter. I used a few copics to accent the roses in the centers, to give depth. Thanks for looking, let me know if you have any questions!

My inspiration for this card came from this $1 stamp from Michaels! I stamped and embossed it, then used a circle nestability die to get it centered, and then cut it out. The yellow layer is also from a spellbinders die. I used a gold gel pen to add gold accent to the yellow label shape. The border punch is by Martha Stewart crafts. Here's a card I just made for my sister in law for her birthday, her favorite color is yellow! The birdies stamp is actually one that says lovebirds at the bottom and has a heart above (and centered) the birdies. But i cut all that stuff out and made it work with this sentiment stamp! My newest card, I found this angel stamp in my stash, that I bought last year and never used! So after receiving my new set from Our Daily bread today, I just had to use them both. The greeting is from the set Blessed Christmas by OBD. The angel stamp is by Stampendous, and I got that at Michaels, THE Arts & Crafts store (imagine that! lol). The decorative star stamp is from Papertrey ink, in the set Silent Night.
The decorative paper that the angels are stamped on is from the K&Company Mat Pad from the BW Evergreen collection. The striped brownish paper is from some other older
K&Company paper pad. The sheet music DP is from a paper pad I got last year by MME "Festive & Frost". The photo corners were punched with an eksuccess punch. I colored in the stamped images with copic markers and a gold and a white gel pen. I accented several areas with crystal stickles. Again, thanks for looking, I had a blast making this card!

Yet another adorable digi stamp from C.C.Designs.. find it here. This teal swirly paper is from the new wintery paper pad by Cosmo Cricket Mini Deck "Jolly by Golly". I colored Nora in with Copic Markers. I cut waves of white paper to make the snow she is standing on, and then I added glossy accents to glue on white Flower soft. The greeting is one from a clear set I found at Walmart last year. Thanks for looking!

Hello everyone!!! I had the pleasure of going to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra in concert this week. And got to sit in the second row!! It was beyond AMAZING! Well, since it was mostly christmas music, it really put me in the christmas mood! So hopefully I'll start really popping these christmas cards out soon, though today my hubby is sick with a 102.2 fever, and even though I had the whole day to create, I was just not in the mood! This card I made on thursday, before the concert, I started it, and finished it friday night. Anyways, these trees are one stamp, and I embossed it with silver EP, and added white flower soft to them to make them look snowy. The white embossed strip that goes down the center vertically, was created with the cuttlebug embossing folder, lace tree, click underlined word to see it. I did it twice and cut along so as to just get the middle of the tree embossed. The greeting words are from a clear stamp set by papertrey ink . The dp with the snow look to it is by SEI, from a paper pad I got at Michaels. The silver photo corners were punched with an eksuccess punch and embellished with stickon pearls and rhinestones. To get the blue fade background on the panel with the trees, I smeared 2 colors of memento ink on the paper with the wood peg handle with removeable foam pads. Any questions, message me! Here's a card I made using the same digi stamp as the card I just posted before this. For this one I used the red and green traditional colors, but in non traditional shades, more of a burgundy and an olive green, with pink added, to give it more of a vintage feel. The circle stamp in the right corner is from a stamp set by stampin up called riveting.

I <3 Heather Ellis' images that I found on Etsy! They are so cute! I love using soft, non traditional colors on a christmas card, so I really had fun with this one! The pink embossed background was embossed with a Sizzix Textured Impressions embossing folder, run through my Cuttlebug machine. The greeting stamp is one from a cheap clear stamp set I got last year at walmart! I stitched with my sewing machine in aqua thread around the pink panel. Colored with my copics, of course! Found a new stamp company I love at the Heirloom stamp convention 2 weeks ago! Denami Designs! This is one of many stamps I got from them at the show, I just love their chickies!!! I cut the stamped image with my labels 8 nesties and then with the largest die in labels 8 cut the red border. And yes, I sewed a border around the card! Colored with my copics, of course! Added doodlbug iris white chunky glitter to some areas of the card (hope you can see it). The brown felt ribbon is one I got this year at Michaels in the holiday ribbon aisle. Added stickles around the stamped panel, and voila!

I love the C.C Designs new angels stamps!!! They are so cute! I used a cuttlebug embossing folder and distress inks on the pink panel behind the angel. I colored her with copics. The white lacy edge was created with one of the new martha stewart border punches which I believe is called Garden lattice.

Baby girl in the snow

"Kai in the snow" is the name of this digital stamp created by my cousin Mo. You can find this image and many other adorable digi stamps here .
I colored her in with my copic markers. The puffy snow that she is in is a fairly new product I found at the stamp convention called Flower soft, and can be found here. Its a really fun product! The lace paper strip you see running horizontally was created with the martha stewart punch you see below. I cut a strip of paper 1 inch wide, and punched one side, and then flipped it around and punched the other side, so it looks like lace! Then I sponged distress inks on the white lace paper! It's easy! The snowflake is an acetate one on top of one I cut with a spellbinders create a flake die, then joined with a tiny brad. The greeting stamp is from a set by the craft lounge. The pink flocked dot paper is from Making Memories!

winter trees

I have been wanting to make a card with these trees and the whole night sky colors thing. It was fun! I used posh impressions liquid ink, 3 colors of blue, with the darkest at the ground level and just smeared them on with a sponge on glossy cardstock. I cut a 1 inch circle and used it as a mask when I added my blue inks. Then later colored the moon with yellow copics. I tried to create starry night paper on the panel under the stamped/ink panel, so i poked holes in the dark navy paper to show through the silver foil paper underneath, but it didnt really show up, the parts that show up better are the dots i created with silver gel pen! C.C designs warm winter wishes

My first circle card! The little girl is a digi image I got here.I killed time this morning coloring in several digi images. When I got home I went through my paper and found papers that matched how I colored the images. I really liked how this girl matched this argyle paper by making memories( it's a few years old). I think the colors do a good job of giving it a snowy, wintery feel. I stamped little snowflakes with versamark and embossed with white. The card itself I made by folding in half the patterned paper and scoring, then I cut the circle, all but the scored edge, with my ek circle scissors tool. Super easy! I then cut 2 circles very slightly smaller than the card itself and lined the inside of the card, to make it sturdier (and cuter!) I embossed a strip of white paper with a cuttlebug EF. The big snowflake was cut from a cricut machine a long time ago (sorry don't remember what cartridge). the purple circle is a random chipboard frame I found in my stash. I added glossy accents on the snowflake and chunky glitter on top of that. The greeting stamp(on front) is from a stampendous clear winter changito set. I used my scalloped rectangle punch I got at archivers recently on clearance for $3 for the greeting, and rubbed ink around the edges. The inside is stamped with a $1 snowflake stamp from a few years ago, and the inside greeting is a wood stamp I got at Michaels this year.

I can't seem to stop creating cards with a distressed look with muted and non traditional (christmas red and green colors)!!! Oh well, I'm having fun! I got my inspiration for this card from some magazines, where they had cream cards that were distressed and then crystal glitter added over that. The panel that the outside greeting is on was cut from Spellbinders labels 8. The holly paper is from a little pad by cosmo cricket. The ivory paper is bazzil bling. I added antique linen distress ink around the edges of all the paper layers. The snowflakes are also Spellbinders dies from the set Create a flake. The word joy is from thickers letter stickers.I added K&Company baubles to the centers and used glossy accents to adhere crystal chunky glitter to the snowflakes and edges of the light blue panel (a basic grey scrap piece from a pad). The binder edge was created with an ek success punch.The inside stamps are from a clear stamp set by papertrey. The words "to the world" are from a making memories alphabet sticker set. Here's what my custom invites look like that I did for a co- worker. My first custom order!!The dotted paper is from a paper pad by SEI and the whale is a martha stewart punch. The circles were created with spellbinders nestabilities dies, and the embossed white portion was made with the argyle cuttlebug embossing folder. I sponged pink ink around the circle. The pink papers are bazzill bling cardstock. You can't really see it, but I added crystal stickles (glitter glue) around the whale cut out. The greeting words are a stamp from a clear set by martha stewart crafts. Hope the people getting them enjoy them as much as did creating them! You may ask, why the whale for a baby girl card, well the baby's parents are big ocean/scuba/sealife lovers and are decorating the babys room in baby sea animals, so thought this fit them nicely! Another Christmas card, really wanted to use this green brocade paper on a christmas card, even though it's not really "christmas paper". I embossed the message in platinum metallic embossing power. The green pine branches were done by a Martha Stewart puncch. The poinsettia is from prima. Snowman shaker card

My first shaker card! I have to say it was easier than I thought it would be! Thanks to the tutorial I found on splitcoast stampers for making shaker cards!! The snowman image is a digi stamp, drawn by my talented cousin, Mo. You can find it here. I colored the snowman in with Copic Markers. The dp is from a paper pad I got last year by MME. I cut the scalloped frame using spellbinders nestabilities dies: scalloped circle and regular circle. The label that the greeting is on is also a spellbinders die
(the middle size one from Labels trio). The greeting is a stamp from a set by Papertrey ink. Inside the shaker card are tiny micro beads and irridescent glitter. You can find the tutorial I found here. Thanks for looking!

I added embossed snow and dots on this card in silver (might be hard to see) I used labels 9 spellbinders nestabilities- the largest shape for the panel the bird is on. Another card I made with one of my cous' digi stamps. This digi stamp was created by Maurie Manning (Name is link to her site). This stamp is called singin so beautiful. I was trying to give this card a sort of old fashioned christmas feel. ornamental christmas

I made this card using a notecard from a $1 pack I found at Michaels(see pic on right), I just cut out the ornament and embellished it. I stamped swirls with versamark and embossed in gold tinsel to make the background paper coordinate with the ornament. The panel the greeting is on is just white CS that I stamped and embossed the greeting on, then I used my scor-pal to make embossed edges. I smudged gold ink all around it, and then used a gold gel pen to make the dots all around the edge, and embellished the corners with a little bling!

enabler ALERT! Today I found at Michaels a great deal on a punch, made by Jolees, located on the Jolees Beads display, a star punch for 99 cents! Regular price was 9.99! There was also an apple and a flower shape for the same price. They are meant to be used to cut out a photo and put the cutout in a little charm, the charms of these shapes were also on sale for 99 cents! Tried it, works great on cardstock! Check with your local Michaels to see if they had any at this price!

This card was inspired by the Creating Keepsakes Dec 2008 magazine article "A very vintage christmas". There they used these heather bailey papers that are spring colors, and by pulling out the green in them and enhancing with the traditional green and red, you get a vintage look. I got my idea from the card on p.69. I hand cut the holly. The label panel (the one that looks like nestabilities LABELS 1) is actually a table marker from the wedding section at Michaels! I inked the edge of this shape and added red dots with a gel pen, then stickles.I kinda like the way this turned out! see, even flowery spring paper can be used for christmas! I'm trying to "think outside of the box" ! whatcha think of this card?

look girls, no stamps! This card I made with just papers,chipboard cutout, and embellishments! I think it turned out okay? It was super simple and fast, good thing I have a whole box of different chipboard embellishments that match this pad of papers from K & Company! Easy cards!

my first card using these new Stampendouse Changito clear stamps. I don't know about you, but he just makes me smile!

The embossed strip I did with a cuttlebug embossing folder from the 4 pk winter jelly. I just kept moving it across the paper and then then rubbed red chalk ink over it to make it stand out more. Thanks for reading and looking!

New to michaels, this 3 pack of stickles (each .5 oz and regularly retails for about 2.29 eachbottle at most places I have seen) sells for $4.99 US, and is located "on a clipstrip on the christmas bling power panel". If you tell a Michaels associate that, they should be able to find it for you, if their store has it.

Only $2.99 if you use a 40% coupon! Yay! I just love a good deal and when new products come to Michaels! (since I work there!)

this is my first crafty post, hope ya'll like it. I made it with the idea of using pink and blue together, my brother in laws girlfriend likes those colors, so since the card is for her, that's what i wanted to use. The square that is spots and dots is actually blue backrground and pink ink over the embossing, though it looks purple in this pic. I used silk flowers, the paper is from the k and company amy butler mat pad, and used the cuttlebug dies; cake, 2 step paisley,embossing folder spots and dots. I embellished the card with k and comp. rhinestones and the brad in the flower. I also used ribbon from michaels and ric rac from joann's. I stiched with my sewing machine around the edge of the card with fushcia thread. I also used fuschia staples. I applied a little chalk on the cake diecut, and red gel pen in the candles of the cake diecut. The title i printed from my computer using photdraw. I fyou have any questions, please ask away!
